Where the disney nose comes from

It's always good to go look at the real thing. If you just learn the shortcuts, you're trapped. You won't know how those people got the shortcuts in the first place. then, you can't go beyond it and make your own shortcuts.

So, I have to start work on another comic while I finish up this last one. I start my character designs by just drawing lots of stuff. Next, I'll go get some reference or real photos and artwork.

Story development for animation

The class I'm teaching at concept design academy opens up for enrollment Jan. 4th. We will cover story development for animation (or comics). Each class will involve a lecture followed by an in class assignment (you can choose to do the assignments in a storyboard or comic book format).
