Simple cartoon pelvis

Someone emailed me and had a question about drawing the pelvis of a character like mulan. This is how I draw a simple cartoon pelvis. In this case, I drew over an Andrew loomis drawing to show where it comes from anatomically.

  3. Very cool! Thanks for the pointers!
Lately I feel like I've been having trouble drawing the pelvis at different angles and keeping it looking natural. This will be a great help!

  4. I had a bit of trouble parsing what you were showing at the bottom of the page, but after about 5 minutes I parsed it.

Is this what you were talking about?

  5. Jim: yes, there is that extra little pizza slice for the back and side view, that you can't really see from the front. But, make sure the ball socket of the leg goes all the way and buts up to that back part, you have a little gap there.
