Disclaimer: in no way can you take any of this as the “right” way of doing things. I’m still learning and some of this stuff may even be wrong. I am constantly adapting and changing my approach to drawing. This is just how I think about stuff and I wanted to share it with people. Maybe it can help, maybe not.
This whole site is wonderful...thanks for all the awesome recaps/nuances!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI always have problem with noses....so THANK U!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff, thanks Rad. Quick question: When studying from the disney films, do you watch them on your computer and then screen capture and draw over them with your cintiq? Or do you watch, pause, and then draw on paper what you see?
ReplyDeleteThanks,
George
mmmm..noses...i like noses..
ReplyDelete;)
Gcastro, I do both. Most of the time I just copy on paper or the citiq, but occasionally I trace them. Tracing can help because as your hand is moving, your mind is saying wow, this line is in a totally different place than I would have put it, and you can take sort of a mental note that things are not in the place you think they are.
